    2023-24 Upper Deck Extended checklist

What will you be chasing from the set?

Also, I’ve said it before but I know I’m getting old when the “retro” sets (Black Diamond) were originals when I was just getting back into the hobby. I do love that 07-08 design.

I'll try to get a couple of blasters around SRP to open, trying my luck on pulling something of Bedard or a decent rookie. It would be cool to pull some Habs shinnies for my binder.

I know it can't be easy to build checklists when there's only so many spaces, but it has infuriated me for about two years running now that UD is passing over Montembeault time and again for the flagship (and OPC) series. He's been the Habs de facto #1 goalie for three years now, and his last card produced was in 2021-22 Extended. I guess someone reckoned it was important to get Gustav Lindstrom, an off-season acquisition who was the team's 7th defenceman and played 14 games before being put on waivers and claimed by the Ducks. Also the Coyotes got 7 cards on the base checklist and the Habs got 4. Mini-rant over. LOL

I agree with you, it would be nice to see more cards of Montembault. An OPC Retro Black Border or a flagship Silver Outburst of him would be a nice addition to an Habs collection.
